My friend is interested in finding a cool bar/pub for her birthday. Preferably someplace where a group of around 10 people could be together, or maybe if there is a small back room or something for us to hang out in. The only place I could think of was Luka's. Any other ideas? Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville area is best.
Thanks!

i'm thinking Cato's - the front area with the windows might do the trick. and great beer selection!

Sun, October 8, 2006 - 4:16 PMPacific Brewing Co has a pretty good in-house made beer selection, and has a side room that can be reserved. BART friendly as well in downtown Oakland.

funny you should mention that,
I'll go out on a limb and say I prefer PCB for an event
but I am a regular Cato's customer
I did my last birthday at Cato's, it was great, Cato's was just OK
and do a montly gathering at Pacific Coast Brewing where we always get treated well.
PCB accomdates a group better but that is
because Cato's does not do a damn thing for a group.
And PCB service is usually profesional and prompt
Catos, well, what service?
One drawback is the PCB will not do separate bills for a group very easily.
but your group can buy their drinks at the bar like any other pub.
have a good birthday party
