It's a ways off sure, but how often does 06/06/06 come- like once a milennium?? (6/6/2066 doesn't count....)
And it's a Tuesday- an unlikely satanic day.
I think we should celebrate it with ritual sacrifice of the liver- a bar/pub crawl around Lake Merritt, starting at 6pm, at Lukas.
More details to follow.

    that sounds awesome!
I really need a good reason to ride my bike now that the suns come out.
and what a better reason then to get shit faced in celebration of the end of the world!

tom, you're the man with the plan. I'm off Tuesday-Weds., so that's my Saturday. FINALLY! Something that happens on MY day off! ;-) We'll have to ask the bars to turn the election results on, I'd love to see the results of the mayoral race among other things . . .

I forgot the it was erection day. I planned to be a poll worker, but after reading the fine print -6am to 10-10:30pm with an hour for lunch/dinner,l all for $115 I decided it was better to tax my liver and exercise my legs. and I really don't thimnk I want to be yelled at by self righteous liberals and uber conservatives accusing me of stealing their election.
I'm votin though, before work- the poll place is a block from the house.
we should definitly driveby CVK and see who the losers are.
When I'm back from vacation I'll try to put together a route and stopoffs. anyone care to make a quarterbill?

Nothing like leaving things to the last minute.
After careful and serious thought and intense debate with the voices in my head we decided to go around the lake in a counter clockwise direction. Meet at Lukas at 6pm, then slog over to Baggys on 18th st (near the Parkway theatre, across from albertsons), then north (west??) to meet up with Ron Dibble at the Alley, and finish off the evening at the Ruby room.
        Sound good? OK.

Lucky and I tried to find you guys at the Alley, then went over to the Ruby Room, and just came back, oh well. Couldn't remember Baggy's, or else we would have started there. I think we ended up ahead of you. Oh, and it's Rod Dibble, thank you very much! ;-)

I don't have your cell in my new (work pays for it!) cell phone, so send me a little hidey-ho and give me the digits . . . drunk biking is the best, especially on a fixed gear. You DID bring out the fixie, I hope.

            ohhhh....
            my head.
4 people riding to 4 bars in 4 hours takes it's toll on a school night.
And on the fixed- of course- I actually repaired the flat from last week- once again the mechs bike(s) is the last to get worked on. It was the simplist repair to do- all the other bikes need major work.
Yeah- you got a little ahead of us. It would have been good to catch up. and that mofo fred ditched too.
Char and I were in and out of Lukas by 7.
We met Rachel at Baggys and finished up there by 8.
The alley hasn't changed- thankfully- though Rod was off last night- some guy with a guitar plays on tuesdays and thursdays.
At the Ruby Room my friend dan called so the entire bar said Hi. Wow! the bar tenderess was hot - and she rolled out on a bianchi fixie. I got crossways glances from Char for that.

That was fun!! Even if I only made the last 2 bars!

And, I should pedal drunk mroe often...I actually went ahead and pedalled all the way home to N. Berkeley, as I was having such fun doing it!

As to the hangover...I'm tellin' ya, have an emergen-c and a glass of water b4 crashing...its my fuckin' lifesaver after any serious drinking. =D Hope everyone's feelin' better by now. =)

that hangover remedy, and this one:

this stuff actually works. I just ran out and have to place another order. It actually has solid scientific studies behind it and, more importantly, I've tried it and it works . . .

That WAS fun! I loved being in the bike posse as we crossed town over to Ruby Room. We'll have to do this again sometime soon...
